I am trying to edit a website but when I click on “Update Page”, it shows that it has been updated on the backend but the changes are not visible on the frontend.
However, when I disable SiteOrigin Page Builder I can see my changes. But my columns and lay out seems to have disappeared. Can you help me out please? Thank you!
Hi Kayleigh
Thanks for posting your question.
Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?
Can I send the URL through a private message? Or can it be deleted later?
We offer private email support as part of our SiteOrigin Premium offering. Our free support is public-facing. You’re welcome to use a URL forwarder like bitly.
Thank you for your swift reply. This is the URL: https://cutt.ly/xj6HOvg
Thanks. Is there any change in the problem if you clear your W3 Total Cache?
Unfortunately no. I’ve also cleared my browser cache, I’ve tried downgrading to a previous version of WordPress too, without any luck. Can I try anything else?
Hi Kayleigh
Please, try a plugin conflict test. I’ve included the steps below. Thanks.
This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.
If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
Thank you! I’ve disabled all the plugins, clear the caches and switched to another theme. It did not fix the issue.
When I disabled the plugin Black Studio TinyMCE Widget, all text, columns and lay out disappeared leaving the pages blank (except for the footer and header and one Siteorigin pricing table widget). When I activated it, everything reappears, but I still can’t update the pages.
Thanks for the update. What change should be present on the page linked to above?
I can’t change anything on that page and some other pages including the home page. I tried changing the text first. The update was successful on the back end, but the changes were not visible on the front end. Now I’ve deleted everything on that particular page and wrote just one single sentence, but it’ s not visible on the front end either. You can still see the old content.
Please, take a screenshot of the page while editing it and send it to use. You can upload screenshots to Imgur.com, Drive, Dropbox or any similar site and send us the link. Thanks.
