Hi Guys, I have noticed over time that the wordpress admin area and subsequent update actions are becoming more and more sluggish. I am new to wordpress but have a feeling it is due to the addition of new plugins over time? Is this the cause of plugins or pages? I need to know the root here and possible fixes; i.e. do I need to clean it up by deleting needless plugins or is there a different issue. I can give you access to admin area so you can see. Thanks.

This is unfortunately not something I’ve directly handled before. Plugins is a great place to start. Any plugins that aren’t needed should be de-activated and deleted. Perhaps start there and see if it makes any difference.
