White shapes appear in each corner when loading page

By Terry Bercovitz, 4 years ago. Last reply by Alex S, 4 years ago.

Hi,

When I load my homepage a white rectangle/square (depending on screen size), briefly appears in each top corner while loading the page. They appear under the header. Any idea how to remove them? They aren’t affecting the page besides being a visual nuisance.

I am using the siteorigin pagebuilder and hero widget

Thanks :)

Avery

    *update*

    Now 4 black bars briefly load at the top (under my header bar) before the hero image. Is this because im using an image that is too large (400kb). Will optimizing this image to 150 kb help with the black bars that load before the hero widget?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Terry,

    These lines are the borders you’ve applied to the cells towards the end of the page. The SiteOrigin Hero widget uses JavaScript to display so the Hero can be briefly invisible on load and that can result in situations like this. The easiest way to mask this is to “pre-fill” the height of the first widget to reduce how noticeable the delay is for you. You can do this by opening the first SiteOrigin Hero widget and go over to the Widget Styles Sidebar. Open the Attributes settings group and set the CSS Styles field to:

    min-height: 800px;

    Save. How does that look?
    The above height is based on your Hero widgets so you if you alter your Hero widgets height settings you’ll need to increase the above setting.
