White screen of death after adding code to widget.php/theme-widget.php Vantage theme

Hi,

I accidently added code to the widget.php or the theme-widget.php in a Vantage theme wordpress website. When I clicked on update file I got a HTTP-500 error. The code regarded the widget “event manager”.
It was the code:

.entry-content td, .comment-content td {
border-top: 1px solid #EDEDED;
padding-top: 6px;
padding-bottom: 6px;
}

I don’t see anything wrong with the htaccess file and I don’t see the code I added anywhere also not in the widget.php or the theme-widget.php file. So I’m pretty desperate. All the help is very much appreciated

Kind Regards,
User123

    Hi user123

    Sorry to hear about the hassle. If you’ve edited a theme file the best step would be to switch to another theme, delete Vantage and then re-install it.

    If you’re unable to access the WP admin you’ll need to login to your server via FTP and delete the Vantage folder. You can find this at /wp-content/themes/
