vs. sidebar, vs…..
This is so simple that any experienced web designer just knows it. But newbies don’t, and it causes huge confusion. (I’m confused.) I know just enough to know that different things have controls all over the place, and that’s how WP is set up, so it can’t easily be fixed.
Suggestion
– Add a page to each theme that SHOWS us what parts are controlled by what. e.g., “This is the headline in the Header. This is controlled by ….” “This is a widget in the sidebar. This is controlled by…”
Maybe color-code them?
I’ve been batting around trying to figure out how to make changes in the footer, or etc.,
