I recently created my website using wordpress 4.2.2 using Vantage Premium theme.
The website displays perfectly on my computer but on two others I have looked at the slider image overlay displays the text but not the images. Also on a mobile device the site is all over the place and does not appear to be responsive.
I’m new to wordpress and this is my first website.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Terry
The slider images are displaying correctly, however all the other images on the page are pointing to a local server environment rather than to your site URL.
eg.
These should all be changed to
eg.
Everything is behaving as responsive apart from the menu. Please navigate to Appearance->Theme Settings->Navigation and enable the setting for Mobile Navigation.

Hi Magus,
Thanks, that fixed the problem!
If you don’t mind I have another issue with flash (flv) movies not playing.
If you go to http://www.technologytraining.net.au/Banking.html I have to flash movies embedded into the page yet I only see a blank space and no movie. This particular html page was created with Dreamweaver and used to work fine. Since I created the new site with WordPress and linked the page, the movies no longer work.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
Terry
Hi Terry
This is most likely being caused by the relative paths being used by the flash player. Please try altering these to absolute paths. I cannot guarantee that this will work though as Dreamweaver tends to include it’s own scripts and additional files which may not work correctly when used in WordPress.
You may be better off recreating the page in WordPress and using the SO Video widget to display your self hosted video.

Hi Magus,
Thanks again for your help.
I decided to just put links to the Youtube videos on my pages, which works fine.
Just one more question if you don't mind – I would like to add a link to the main page (refer attached) which will link to another website, but am unsure how to do it as I cannot find where it is is WordPress.
Hi Terry
There are several ways you can add a link to the home page. Unfortunately we do not see attachments on the forum, could you upload to your site and link it from there or give me some more details
Thanks
Magus
Hi Magus,
I have inserted it into the email below:
When I originally added pages the links to these pages appeared on the top of the slider. I want to add a link to another website and add it next to the "testimonials" link but cannot find where to put it.
Hi Terry
I am still not seeing any images, embedded images are classed as attachments and stripped out for security purposes.
I tried to access your site home page but I am currently getting an unrelated page ‘My Medical Negligence Story’. Could you please check your hosting via FTP and ensure that there are no index pages in the root other than index.php.
Then post the link to the image hosted on your wordpress site or on another image hosting site.
Magus
Sorry about that. I was working on another site and uploaded it to the wrong directory.
Hi Terry
Please navigate to Appearance->Menus.
Click on the item Custom Link on the left and enter the url of the external site and the text you want displayed. Then click on the Add to Menu Button. This will add the item to the bottom of the menu, you can reposition it by dragging it to the desired position. If you want this item to open in a new window, expand the new item in the menu and enable the option below the URL box.
Then Save the menu.

Hi Magus,
Sorry to bother you again, but I need your help.
I have noticed that the contact form on my "contact Us" page is sending the emails but not receiving at my email address.
I am using the contact form 7 plugin and have it setup to receive email at [email protected].
When I fill in the form and click "send" a message with a green border around it tells me that the message was sent ok, but no message comes to my address.
Any ideas?
Hi Terry
You will need to check the error logs on your mail server. If there are no results for the failed message then it may be an RBL issue. If you are using a personal server then you will not be able to send outgoing messages due to RBL blocking of ALL dynamic IP addresses. If you are using a shared server then please contact your mail host to check for RBL blocking of your domain name.

Hi Magus,
It ended up being a setting that my hosting provider had to make with regards to email routing. It was set to "local" and changed to "remote".
