Visual Editor widget doesn’t line up with Page Builder row

By glynch, 9 years ago. Last reply by Magus, 9 years ago.

Hello–

I am using Page Builder and have run into a strange problem: if I put images in a row, they all line up perfectly. However, if I use an image/slider/whatever and then place a Visual Editor widget in the same row, the Visual Editor widget does not line up properly. It’s about a centimeter below whatever else is on the row. Is this a padding issue? I’ve checked and I can’t seem to find anything that would do this.

I have a tablepress table in the Visual Editor widget, but I also tried it with some generic text, and I still had the not-lining-up issue.

I’ve given an example page, but this is happening anywhere I have a visual editor widget inside a page builder row.

Thanks!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Glynch

    Please edit the text widget and uncheck the option at the bottom to auto generate paragraphs. Then switch to text mode and make sure there are no p tags above the table.

    Let us know how you get on

    Hi Magus–

    I did what you suggested, and unfortunately there is no change. Anything else I can try?

    Thanks!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Glynch

    I am afraid that this is the only way to solve this particular issue. Currently your page renders like this

    <div class="textwidget" abp="142">
    <p abp="143">
    <table class="tablepress tablepress-id-25" id="tablepress-25" abp="144">
    <tbody class="row-hover" abp="145">

    The issue is being caused by that p tag above the table tag. This needs to be removed for the table to align correctly with the image. Please try editing the widget again and, in text mode, ensure that there are no empty lines above the table or that the table is not wrapped in paragraph tags.

    It worked! I sort of misunderstood your answer from before – I switched everything into text mode, made sure that there were no spaces or any kind of tag…and then I put it back into visual mode. If I just keep it in “text” mode, the issue is solved.

    Thanks very much for your help!
