Visual Editor issue – Black Studio TinyMCE installed but not working with Page Builder

10 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 10 years ago

I have a purchased theme Hostmev2 that comes with Page Builder, however when I attempt to use the Visual Editor, it prompts to install Black Studio TinyMCE which is already installed. After uninstalling then reinstalling the plugin and reloading the page, the error message remains.
Prompt: “You need to install Black Studio TinyMCE to use the widget WP_Widget_Black_Studio_TinyMCE.”
Can you assist?
Thanks.

    Hi Iabibo

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

    Good day Andrew,

I have attempted disabling all plugins and testing with PageBuilder, however that doesn’t work. I even uninstalled and reinstalled but it doesn’t either. At this time this doesn’t seem like a plugin conflict.

    Thanks.

    Thanks for the feedback.

So to confirm, with only Page Builder and the Black Studio TinyMCE plugins activated, the issue continues? The message to install remains?

Certainly. With other plugins deactivated, the issue remains.

Mmm not good. Ok one more test. When you temporarily de-activate all plugins besides Page Builder and Black Studio does the error persist if you test with a default theme like Twenty Fifteen?

Can you use our SiteOrigin Editor widget? Does that work?
