fairly new to wordpress (I am a dreamweaver convert) and I loaded the vantage theme, loaded page builder, created a custom homepage, saved it, and it does not show up, the stock one does. Any help would be appreciated, as I am confused and tried everything I can think of in my (not so great) knowledge.

Assuming you’ve set up the home page properly, my guess is that your home page is being cached somewhere. Do you have any caching plugins installed? A lot of WordPress auto installers come with some form of caching plugin enabled by default.

Thanx for reply. I am new to wordpress and have no clue if I have a caching plugin. LOL. Sorry. I installed page builder, set up home page, saved it, and when viewed from the home page builder it looks good. When I type in web addy it is standard page.
How do I know if there is a caching plugin? What other options do I have? Just starting out in wordpress and learning as I go.

Hi. Please check that Appearance > Custom Home Page is turned ON at the top of that page. Next head to Plugins and see if any plugins there mention Performance or Cache, if they do clear the cache in the plugin settings.
none of the plugins mention performance or cache, and only one has a settings. The plugins I have installed are:
Disable Comments
Meta SLider
Page Builder
WP e-commerce
WP e-Commerce Grid View LITE
Anything else i Can try?

To confirm:
1. Head to Appearance > Home Page, ensure the toggle button at the top of the page is set to ON.
2. Head to Settings >Reading, ensure you haven’t selected anything there. Don’t select a Static Home Page.
If both the above are correct, try turning off all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if anything changes.
deactivated all plugins, fixed it. Re-installed all plugins one at a time to narrow down which one it was. All re-activated and still working.

I have a similar problem with the Home Page Builder. I’m using WP 3.9.1 and PB 1.5 in the free “Vantage” theme.
If I want to make changes and go to “Design > Home Page” the button for Custom Home Page is turned “ON” but the page doesn’t show up and the circle is turning and turning. If I click the “Edit as Page” the page will be opened. But that’s not the way I want to handle it and I guess the page will be coded in a different way? I guess because at the Startpage I can see the Title now and some Breadcrumbs. So the page acts as a normal page?
Also I don’t know why I can’t see the “Page Builder Template” when I want to Quick Edit the page. I guess it is all about the same problem.
I used the Vantage theme before and never had any problems with the Page Builder but now… it makes me …! I give you some sites using the Plugin and the theme and they all behave different. (Does it have to do anything with qtranslate? It is my favorite because I had to change some php-files there to use it with WP 3.9.1; it was developed only for 3.8.1 but I got this link here to fix the problems: https://gist.github.com/warenhaus/10990386/ )

that was my first page using Vantage and Page Builder and everything was fine, until I tried to open the “Home Page” again. Now I have the same problem as described but I never changed anything in this site! I’m using 1.4.12 in this site.
Do you have any idea? I would give you some login-data if needed so you could look inside the installation if necessary – just let me know!

Thanks for running Vantage. Appearance > Home Page not opening and just spinning a loader is almost always a plugin conflict. Please run through the steps outlined here: https://siteorigin.com/troubleshooting/identifying-plugin-conflicts/ and let us know how you come along. Please open a new support thread and we’ll jump in there.
I found same problem, but finally I followed as above advice –> It come back OK again.
( deactivate for plugin “BurnZone Commenting WordPress Plugin”, and etc…)
I got it, this is plugin confliction as you said.

I use Vantaga theme, even I have tried whatever you said above still Costume Home Page is not saving after I turn it on.
I cleaned up the cache I checked thee other plugins. Currently I have three plugins anyway 1-wp super cache, 2- akismet and 3- page builder. No conflict among either ( seems)
I m really trying to find a solution but it takes more time than I expect. I like the theme thats the reason of my effort. I ll appreciate of your help.
