Brand new to WordPress, and any web work in general.
I’ve inserted the Page Builder widget into the footer using proper methods, but every following widget added uses the fonts and colors dictated by the footer, not what is selected in the widgets.
The same happens when adding the text widget itself.
Is there a way to ensure that the footer does not override the settings of the widget?
To clarify my question, if I’m inserting widgets into a footer section, the widgets should control the font, color, etc, just as they do in the pages themselves.
It seems rather pointless to allow text editor widgets (or full page builder widgets) to be inserted, when they have zero control over the text itself.
As an example, using Odoo (the bane of my existence) I was able to directly open the HTML for the pages. So, to create the content I wanted in the footer, I created a page with the content, and simply copy/pasted it into the footer html, as seen here: http://www.rentanerdconsulting.com
We have other small businesses friends that we cross promote, and inserting their info into the footer makes sure the links and such show on every page.
That’s my goal here, is to have a section show up as part of the footer that behaves like a standard page.
Please, I’m nearly done manually rebuilding our page on WordPress (I am not a web developer, and have limited general programming experience), and this is the one thing I can’t figure out.
