Vantage Theme Not Allowing for Embedding of Vimeo Link

I understand that I no longer need to use an i-frame embed code. I am able to paste the Vimeo link into my Visual Editor and the video even shows up in a player inside of the video, but when I publish the page, only the link name shows up.

My other videos are all i-frame embed codes, and I have not touched them because I’ve already messed up two links on my video page (www.johnnyweichel.com/video) after trying to replace the i-frame code with just the Vimeo link. Help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

    Hi John

That should be working, but can you try using the full embed shortcode. It’s possible that the Visual Editor widget isn’t looking for URL embeds.

This page details the embed shortcode.

    Greg,

Thanks for the response. I just tried using the Embed code straight from Vimeo, but when I update the page and refresh my browser, only the code shows up where the video should be. Anytime I use the URL in the Visual Editor, the video shows up in the widget’s window, but it does not show up on my page after I update.

    Hi John

When using the Visual Editor to embed a video, you need to click on the Add Media button situated just above the editor, then Insert from URL on the left. It should then add the embed shortcode tags.
