I have the pro version of the Vantage theme and i’ve used on many site
On all the sites, when viewing the site on a real mobile device, the mobile navigation doesn’t open smoothly, it flickers (jumps in instead)
This was tested on Samsung S3 and S6 (same issue)
I haven’t tested on other mobile devices
I’m not sure what event is being triggered to debug this, or if you have a solution for that would be appreciated

Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on? If you need to keep this URL private from other users, just select “Private Reply” on the bottom right of the comment box.

Thanks for sharing those URLs. I can’t see the issue on my side, but lets try see if this is device related. Do you see the same issue when accessing menu on the Vantage demo?

I don’t have a Samsung device to test out this issue, but it is possible that the graphics hardware in those smart phones can’t quite handle the animations. They’re both quite high end phones, so this explanation doesn’t seem all that likely though.

On the Vantage demo site it’s the same behavior, but the thing it looks random, sometimes it’s smooth on all sites including the Vantage demo
it could be to many apps running, low memory, but i don’t think it requires much memory to open the menu or could be mobile browser performance

Thanks for letting us know though. We’ll do what we can to prove the slide in animation over the next few releases. As far as I remember it’s already using CSS3, so it should be hardware accelerated, but maybe there’s more we can do.
