Good afternoon,
I’m fairly sure the answer to my question is simple and straightforward, but I have not been able to find an answer on my own. I would like to use multiple widgets in the footer of my theme but as you can see: allsacredfoundation.org – they are stacking on top of one another versus sitting next to one another horizontally. Any suggestions on how I can fix this? Thanks so much for your help!
Regards,
J
Hi Jonathon
Thanks for running Vantage. They look good on my side right now, all next to each other. When you get down to a smaller screen size, 680px, they will then stack vertically, but you shouldn’t see that on your desktop/laptop/tablet unless you have the window sized down.
Andrew,
Thanks for the prompt response. Honestly, I found a temporary workaround that I implemented which is what you’re looking at now. Apparently the vast majority of the footer widgets, including the text widgets that are currently in place, stack properly next to one another without issue. The specific widget I was having issue with was the circle widget. I’ve tried numerous times, even attempting to use various snippets of custom CSS, to get the circle widgets to align next to one another to no avail. If you’d like, I can revert back to my previous attempt so you can see exactly what I am talking about?
As far as the smaller screen size and stacking, I am aware and very fond of the responsive nature of the theme It’s one of the main things that drew me to Vantage and the one of the primary reasons I currently have Vantage implemented on 3 different websites.
I want to take a moment to thank you and the entire SiteOrigin team for putting together what are, IMHO, the highest quality and caliber themes and plugins available. Everyone I know has commented on the professional quality and chic look of my sites and that’s largely attributable to Vantage and Page Builder. Keep doing what you’re doing!
Thanks a ton!

Ahh right. The Circle Icon widget is one of those widgets we designed with one usage set in mind. It doesn’t work well in the footer as you’ve seen. As long as the workaround didn’t involve hard editing the code in theme files (without a child theme) then you’re all good to go.
Thanks very much for your positive feedback, I’ll be sure to pass it onto Greg.
If anything else comes up do let us know!
All the best.
Hi Andrew,
I’m actually trying to do the exact opposite. I need to stack two widgets vertically in the footer of my site. The current demo page is http://www.events.scenariophoto.com if you’d like to see what I mean. I’m trying to place the social media icons below the footer logo image, but so far I haven’t been able to find a way to do that. PS I’m not a “coder”, but I understand how to use plugins/widgets etc.
Thanks for your help!
-Dan
Yes the widgets are stacking, I tried resizing to see if they change position but they do not, all widgets are staying to the left and I would like them to run across Horizontal evenly across the footer. Is there a way around this?
