I run a blog using the Vantage theme, with the homepage set to display recent posts. I use the Circle Icons setting in Blog Archive Layout, and I have it set to display an excerpt of 55 words before a “Continue reading” button. I would like to have the post date displayed before the post excerpt (or anywhere, really), but for the life of me I can’t find anywhere that allows me to enable that. In the Customizing > Theme Settings > Blog section, where I set it to circle icons and a post excerpt, I have the following selected in Featured Image Type: Featured Image, Post Metadata, Post Date, Post Author, Post Categories, Post Tags. I assume those are in relation to the post page, and not the archive page, which is fine – but how can I get the theme to add the post date to the excerpt? This is an internal blog for a company and one of the SVPs has asked to have the date added so people don’t have to click the link in order to see how relevant an article is, but I have looked absolutely everywhere and I can’t figure out how to make that happen. Please tell me that I’m just missing something! Thank you!
