Vantage Social Media Widget and Facebook logo (no rush)

11 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 11 years ago

When using the Vantage Social Media widget, I notice the Facebook logo does not conform to Facebook’s Brand terms and policies (You can find the official Facebook brand logo as well as the “Do’s and Don’ts” of it’s use here: https://www.facebookbrand.com/).

I realize the social media widget uses the font-awesome web font to create the logo but I believe font-awesome has updated to include the new logo style.

I am sending credentials in an email for you to login to my site and see what I am talking about.

Just as a follow-up, this is what the icon should look like, except with a hex color code of #3b579d

    Hi Richard

Thanks very much for your feedback and for running Vantage.

We unfortunately have a few legacy challenges holding us back from updating the Font Awesome library at the moment. I don’t have a hotfix, you could however consider using a third-party social widget. Here are two I’ve used in the past, I haven’t yet checked them for conformity to Facebook’s guidelines though:
