Vantage redirect links not working

Hi,

If i click my logo in the Vantage theme, i’m not redirected to my homepage, instead a white box opens with the progress circle thingy opens and stands there forever, same with the other buttons in the site.
If i right click however and choose open in new page it does work.

Anyone has any idea what is wrong here ?

    Hi Marco

    If this is happening on the front end then something is up. Please try for me:

    1. Run any pending updates at Dashboard > Updates.
    2. Temporarily de-activate all non-SiteOrigin plugins, if the issue resolves, re-activate your plugins one by one, each time checking the problem.

    Let us know how that goes.

    It seems that Nextgen Gallery by Photocrati is causing the problem here, i have another site with Snapshot premium and i do not have the problem there with the same gallery installed.

    I know php pretty well, i’m going to try to find where things go wrong in the plugin.

    Thanks for pointing this out, i mean disabling the plugins,
    pretty stupid of me that i didn’t think of that myself though, it’s waht i always tell other people to do first.

    I just checked some more, my website works ok with the Nextgen Gallery and any theme from you guys.
    But my mom’s website doesn’t, and it is only with theme’s from Sitorigin combined with the Nextgen Gallery plugin, all other plugins disabled, only a siteorigin theme and the gallery on wordpress 4.0, any other theme works ok together with the gallery.

    you can click anything here, it all works.

    We’re both on the same hosting server, and we used the same wordpress install.

    any idea where i should start digging into the code ?

    just found out that the vantage social media plugin works ok and the other i have doesn’t, so it really starts to look like the nextgen gallery plugin is messing with basic link buildup functionality in some themes and plugins, maybe that helps in diagnosing the problem..

    Thanks for all the effort here Marco. Can you just help me catch up a little. Is the problem that in Vantage, this site here: http://www.cobyprooy.nl/, NextGen is causing the logo link to open a lightbox?

    What about replacing the NextGen Lightbox with Jetpack Carousel?

    Please can you check for me:

    Gallery > Other Options > Lightbox Effects > What must the lightbox be applied to?

    Please try restricting that setting. It might be set to All images, right now.

    Ah, thank you for pointing this out, i just installed nextgen on my site without tinkering with it, my mom obviously had, and had probably set the lightbox option by mistake, i set it to “no lightbox” and now everything is ok, Thanks !

    I’m actually very new to WordPress, i used to work with Drupal, i still have to get used to the fact that a lot of things are much easier in WordPress.

    By the way, what did you mean by “What about replacing the NextGen Lightbox with Jetpack Carousel?”

    Did you mean to disable nextGen alltogether and remake all those galleries with Jetpack ?
    Cause as far as i can tell from what i’ve read Jetpack Caroussel and NextGen aren’t compatible with eachoter, Jetpack Caroussel only works with native WordPress galleries.
