Vantage Premium Theme Purchase Question – What will change?

I have done a considerable amount of customization with our Vantage them. I really love it! I will be purchasing the upgrade to premium though as I am in desperate need of the Mobile friendly navigation.

My worry is that if I purchase premium that it will overwrite or in some way alter what has been accomplished thus far with our website.

Will the upgrade affect or modify files such as ‘style.css, content.php, single-content.php’ etc?

    Thanks for your interest.

    With any WordPress theme – if you change theme files it’s really important that is done within a child theme:

    https://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes

    If you haven’t done that and update your free version, when we push an update OR if you upgrade to premium, you will lose all your customisations.

    If you’re not sure where all your changes have been made all is not lost. You can compare, file by file, the original free theme (must be same version number), against your theme files now using https://sourcegear.com/diffmerge/.

      Thanks for reaching out. You can consider the Vantage Premium offering from Appearance > Vantage Premium. This menu option will be available when Vantage Free is activated. Vantage Premium offers the Appearance > Customize > Theme Design section.
