Hello,
All I am trying to do is get rid of the “Home” header on the home page. I checked the editor files, but I cant seem to find where I can delete it. Any help is much appreciated, thanks!
Hi Troy
Thanks for reaching out.
Please, keep in mind that all WordPress themes completely overwrite their own folder during theme updates so please, don’t make any edits via Appearance > Editor. They won’t be update safe. If you’ve already made edits to style.css, please, let me know so I can assist in recovering.
If you edit Pages > Home and set the page template to Full Width, No Title, the home page title will be removed.
That must have been what happened when I updated.
That’s it. Your edited CSS rules should be inserted at Appearance > Custom CSS to be made update safe.
Can you refresh me on the CSS needed to get rid of the “Home” header? Thanks!
You should be able to do that just by changing the page template. Pages > Home, choose the Full Width No Title page template in the right column.
