Vantage padding issue below masthead – Resolved

I cannot edit previous post and it is not yet approved. But as an update.

I checked as many elements as I could figure out and there was an overlap margin created by the slider which I could figure out the precise CSS. So to overcome in Smart Slider 3 (uses short code in a SiteOrigin Editor widget) I set the positioning of the padding to -20 px on the top and bottom. Works perfectly!
