Vantage – blog settings – post date & author

I’m using Vantage premium and on the blog page I’m having some troubles. I would like to show the author and date below the blog post title. However they aren’t showing. I have the following settings in theme settings -blog:
– Blog archive layout = blog
– post content = exerpt
– Post metadata = no display
– post author = display
– post date = display
– featured image = display
– featured image type = large
I’m using page builder to create my blog posts and post loop.
Could you tell me what I’m doing wrong?

    Hi Svanaard

    Please enable the post meta data option. the author and date are components of the post meta and can be enabled separately but you need the post meta enabled to be able to view them.

    Let us know how you get on

    Hi Magus,

    Thanks for your really fast response! Your suggestion worked on the blog post page itself, however not on the overview page . Has this to do with the ‘post loop widget’ I use?

    cheers

    Hi Svanaard

    Yes, but to resolve this we just need to add some custom CSS. Please navigate to Appearance->Custom CSS and enter the following.

    .page .entry-meta {
        display: block !important;
    }

    Hi Magus,

    Thanks again. I’m still struggling with this page. It worked, however it also gives the title page the same look and feel as the blog titles. And with the blog posts there is a break between the title and author & date.

    The page just doesn’t do what I want it do. I would like to create my blog page exactly like the demo Vantage blog page, showing excerpts from my blog posts.

    How can I create that? Because I’m doing something wrong…

    Hi Svanaard

    The vantage demo uses the default blog page and not a post loop. To use this please navigate to Appearance->Customize->Static Front Page and set the Blog page to Stories.

    Then navigate to Appearance->Theme Settings->Blog and set Blog Archive Layout to ‘Blog’, and Post Content to ‘Excerpt’.

    You can then remove the last CSS I provided you with.
