Vantage and Clearly theme

By Annie, 8 years ago. Last reply by SiteOrigin, 8 years ago.

I like the menu in the Clearly theme that is at the top of the page. Is there a way to change the menu row in the Vantage theme to make it like the Clearly theme? Can we make the menu stay at the top of the page when scrolling down?

Also, cleally theme has a gray background. can we delete this background and make the page 100% width like the vantage theme?

Thank you for the great themes!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Annie

    If you head over to Appearance > Theme Settings you can change the Vantage Masthead Layout to Logo in Menu. You can also enable the Sticky Menu under the Navigation section.

    It sounds like one-half of your question is about making Vantage more like Clearly and the other making Clearly more like Vantage. Perhaps, you could let us know which theme you land up using before we answer the second part of your question. We’d need to investigate.

    I ended up using the Vantage theme. The only change I would like to make is to make the navigation menu looks like the menu in the Clearly theme: Logo on the left, and menu on the right. How can I do this? Thank you!

    Sure; you can go to AppearanceTheme Settings and set the Masthead Layout to Logo in Menu.

      I did that. I also installed Custom CSS and managed to right align the menu. How do I achieve the following?

      1. Change menu text size and color
      2. Change the hover box color and font color in the navigation menu
      3. Change the background color and hover box color for the search icon in the navigation menu

      Thank you!

    Hi Annie

    1. The menu colors and search icon colors can be set from AppearanceCustomizeTheme DesignMenu in Vantage Premium. You can review the premium offering from AppearanceVantage Premium. Vantage Premium is available for as little as $5 once off.

    You can set the menu font size using:

    /* Set Menu Font Size */

    .main-navigation {
    	font-size: 12px;
    }

    2. Same as 1, minus the Custom CSS.

    3. Same as 1, minus the Custom CSS.
