Using the same image for background image and masthead image

By jtc.customs, 10 years ago. Last reply by Andrew Misplon, 10 years ago.

I am in the process of trying to optimize my site to run faster. One error I continually run into is that the same texture image is used for both the background image and the masthead image. When loading the image into the customize menu from the vantage theme, it forces you to upload the image instead of being able to select one from the database. This causes the same image to get uploaded twice under different names. (ie. image and image1 ). How can I eliminate Vantage from calling for the same image with different names and in effect downloading two identical images for my page.

The image extension being used:
/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/pattern-8whh.png
/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/pattern-8whh1.png

    Hi, I Work Here

Sorry for missing this one. Please can you send through a link to the site. We’ll sort this out with Custom CSS, you can then remove the images from the Customizer, or at least one.
