Hi,
I am using SmartMag theme which comes with its own page builder, not unlike yours.
Having tried out your page builder, but failing to match a layout that is part of the theme pagebuilder system.
So for for example, I can create a two column row, and show two caegories from the Blog, which would then show the latest blog post as a headline and the 3 further posts.
This is the URL: http://screencast.com/t/bYwRi5fO
The blocks in the themes page builder are called Highlights Blocks,
As I want to use your page builder due to it wider functionality. Is there a way of replicating the ‘Highlight Blocks – the layout on the page above.
I should mention uninstalling the themes page builder does not affect the sidebars.
Hi Rob
Thanks for your interest in SiteOrigin Page Builder. We’ve designed Page Builder to be as theme independent as possible. Some of that interchangeability depends on the theme in question.
As I’m sure you’ve seen, Page Builder creates a layout of your choosing and then allows widgets to be added to that layout, the same as you would add widgets to your sidebar. If a theme or plugin adds a widget to WordPress then it’ll be available in Page Builder to add to your layout. It’s also possible to use shortcodes in Page Builder. You can add shortcodes via the Text widget or Visual Editor widget (Text tab). Shortcodes in Page Builder work with most but not all plugins.
If your theme’s Highlight Blocks are added via a shortcode then that functionality could be replicated. OR if they are available in widget form.
