Using Google Analytics Goals to track Contact Form submissions

By Dave Buckett, 7 years ago. Last reply by Alex S, 7 years ago.

I’ve added a very simple SiteOrigin Contact Form to one of my webpages, and I’d like to register as a goal when a user clicks on the submit button. However, I can’t work out how to set the URL of the “Thank you” page.

For instance, if my contact form is at www.mydomain.com/contact then when the user clicks the “Contact Us” button, it seems I will be redirected to http://www.mydomain.com/contact/#contact-form-1301 which says “Thank you for contacting us, we’ll get back to you shortly”. The #contact-form-1301 actually changes from person to person so I can’t track that.

Any suggestions? Either how to implement a custom-built Thank You page url to track, or just to make analytics track the submission?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Dave,

Unfortunately, it’s not currently possible to change the redirect ID. As such, I would recommend tracking the form submission instead.
