Using Custom CSS

11 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 11 years ago

Hello Anthony …

You recently counseled Jerold on using Appearance > Custom CSS to answer his question about what he called Balanced Columns on his page. I tried to follow along with your advice to him but I couldn’t find Appearance > Custom CSS. I’m using WP 4.1 and Safari 5.1.10 browser. What’s wrong please?

    Hello again Anthony …

In one of your answering posts you suggested using Jetpack to have an entry Appearance > Custom CSS. I installed and activated Jetpack, but no documentation to use it and no Appearance > Custom CSS.

    What am I missing please?

      Anthony …

I discovered how to activate Custom CSS in Jetpack so that now I get Appearance > EditCSS.

Btw, I didn’t mention that I’m using the Vivacity theme.

    Hi Mitchell

    Apologies for the delay.

Appearance > Custom CSS is native to SiteOrigin Premium themes. All this and the other Custom CSS plugins out there do is to add a way of inserting Custom CSS into the head of any page on your site.

The help page for Jetpack Custom CSS can be found here: http://jetpack.me/support/custom-css/.

Ideally though, find a plugin that handles the balanced columns query.

    Perhaps one from this list?
