Uploading a logo that does not have a distinguishable background

Hi I have a logo made in ai format and I am unable to upload it due to security reasons. I also tried to upload this as a jpeg and when I set it as the logo I can see an outline of the white background around the original image. Is there a way to get rid of this so all you see is the logo and no background or square outline from the image?

I am using the vantage theme

    Hi Tyler. Do you have Illustrator installed? Open your .ai file and export your logo in PNG format.
