I have just upgraded my Vantage Theme to premium and upgrade fails. The site then goes unavailable for a time showing the message:
“Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Try again in a minute.”
When back available the Theme has an error and requests the site to be re-upgraded and this then removes Vantage as a theme, Happened same way two times in a row. Any ideas?
I have tried redoing the upgrade a few times. I believe I have got the upgrade to succeed but the Theme is broken and it is stating the Stylesheet is missing
Hi Philip
Are you still having the maintenance mode issue? If so, you can fix this quickly by logging in with FTP, and deleting the .maintenance file in the main WordPress folder.
What I’d suggest here is deleting the old version of Vantage completely, then download a fresh ZIP file from your original order email and install that. Have you tried that? Let me know if you need help with these steps?
Hi Greg, if you could give some basic guidance that would be good. I am in the FTP and I haven’t done it. Is it just delete the current vantage folder under wwroot-wpcontent-themes and then unzipping the new files to the wp-content folder?
Thanks
That would work.
Or you could just delete the wp-content/themes/vantage/ folder over FTP, then navigate to Appearance > Themes. Then click Add New, then Add New. Finally select the Vantage Premium ZIP file and upload it.
Great, thanks that worked by the looks of things
