Upgraded theme, post icons and mobile theme stopped working.

I’m actually not sure what happened. I updated the theme today and reloaded the front page. The post icons disappeared and I just see blank dots. Also, the mobile theme stopped working. The desktop site loads up on my phone.

I’m at a loss, I don’t know what happened.

    I deleted and reinstalled the theme. The site now switches to the mobile theme but it’s still not actually working. When I tap the “menu” in the top left it just turns blue but nothing happens.

    The icons are still missing. I’m still at a loss.

    Ok, I reset everything and slowly started enabling one option at a time. I finally have the menu working.

    Enabling “Enqueue JavaScript in Footer” seemed to have fixed it. Which is weird because it was enabled before and it still wasn’t working. Deleting, reinstalling, and re-enabling seems to have fixed it.

    I’m still having issues with the icons. I found another thread (https://siteorigin.com/thread/icons-not-visible-in-new-vantage-install/) and checked to see if my wpcontent is accessible, and it seems to be ok. e.g.: http:// http://www.rosecityknifeworks.com/wp-content/themes/vantage/icons/vantage-icons.ttf?-9o183q For reference the 3 icons I’m using on my front page are: bullhorn, puzzle piece, and trophy.

    Could this be a htaccess issue?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Jack Be Clumsy

    Very sorry about the late reply. We work through a prioritized forum queue, and unfortunately it’s taken us some time to get to your thread.

    This problem sounds like it might be a caching issue. The first thing to check is server-side caching through plugins like W3 Total Cache, WP Super Cache, etc. If you have any of these caching/performance plugins installed, try clearing their cache and see if that helps.

    Let us know how you get on

    Hi Magus,

    Thanks for the reply. I got everything working except the icons. I’m still having trouble getting them to appear despite flushing the cache both locally and on cloudflare. I can access the TTF (http://www.rosecityknifeworks.com/wp-content/themes/vantage/icons/vantage-icons.ttf?-9o183q) but it doesn’t render on my site at all.

    For example: http://www.rosecityknifeworks.com/contact-us/

    There should be social media icons present. I just get blank boxes.

    Thanks for the help!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi JBC

    We have seen this issue before with users of cloudflare. Please try adding the following to your WordPress .htaccess file

    <FilesMatch ".(eot|ttf|otf|woff)">
            Header set Access-Control-Allow-Origin "*"
        </FilesMatch>

    Let us know how it goes
