Hi,
When I installed the updates sent from SiteOrigin I lost access to the Dashboard Panel. Everything was really good until then. Godaddy was able to get me back in by deactivating all the plugins including the Vantage theme…I have the Premium one. The Widget Bundle kicked me out again when I activated it. So, I used the backup feature and rolled my site back one day to regain access.
I am afraid to install the updates now. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you,
Cindy
Hi Cindy
Very sorry to hear about this. Would it be possible for you to get a PHP error log from Godaddy? This would be a huge help in us diagnosing the issue. Off the top of my head, you could be experiencing an insufficient memory error. Asking Godaddy to increase the amount of memory allocated to your WordPress install might fix the issue.
Hi Greg,
Thank you for replying so soon! There were three warning messages but I did not understand them and I wish I would have taken a screen shot for you. I will capture them if I see them in the future.
This morning when I installed the updates everything worked out great. There are no issues at all. My site is the same because I had rolled it back a day, so I’m unsure why it crashed. The only difference was I installed the updates one at a time instead of clicking ‘Update All’. Not sure if that would matter though.
Thank you so much!! Your products are really nice and customer support is the best have ever seen!! There’s hardly any problems at all. I appreciate you all very much.

Hi Cindy
Very glad to hear it’s all working properly for you now, and thanks for your awesome feedback.
My theory is still that it was an insufficient memory error. This is the kind of thing that can cause intermittent errors like this. So if it comes up again, definitely ask Godaddy to increase your PHP memory limit.
Best Regards,
Greg
Thanks…I’m almost certain I saw PHP in the error. I will definitely take your advice. :)
Best wishes!
