I don’t even think I use any widgets for this plugin (siteorigin) How do i remove it without it screwing everything up like it just did with this update.

But I just updated it, and the front page widgets are not displaying.

This is the message when you try and edit the homepage

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Aerelis

Very sorry about this, I’ll investigate the issue and get out a fix as soon as possible. In the meantime, you can roll back to the previous version of Page Builder using this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-rollback/

Use it to roll back to version 2.4.25.

That didn’t work, and it created more errors, now every single page on my website is broke. This is really really not good.

    Hi, I Work Here

What are the errors you’re seeing? In what way is every page on your site broken?

  4. 8 years, 3 months ago aerelis

The pages are now “categories”, the pages do not look at all like they did before the update. Widgets on pages are not working.

and it says “missing widget” in the spot where the widgets are suppose to be.

managed to get the categories back to pages, its just the front page thats an issue now. ill keep working at it

    Hi, I Work Here

I’ve managed to identify the issue in Page Builder. I don’t want to rush out a fix in case it breaks something, but I can create a custom build for you soon.

If you can wait until tomorrow, I’ll do an official release including the fix.

sure, we are talking about the missing widget issue? I can wait till tomorrow

    Hi, I Work Here

Great, I’ll have a fix ready for the missing widget issue ready tomorrow. Specifically, it’s for an issue with saving namespaced widgets, which some themes and plugins are using.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Aerelis

We just released the 2.5.2 update that includes the fix. When you edit a page, you might still see some widgets as “Missing Widgets”, but as soon as you save the page, those widgets should be restored. They’ll also render on the frontend without saving.

You should save any pages with missing widgets at least once, just to lock in the changes though.

Please let me know if everything is working for you.

Didn’t fix it, now the widgets on the other pages are not there. Instead of “Edit Page” It says “edit category”. Front page still says widgets missing

switching the layout to detect older browser fixed the other pages, just homepage not showing widgets

    Hi, I Work Here

Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:

    Private Snippet

Just navigate to UsersAdd New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and Private Snippet for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the Send Password field so we receive the details.

Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

    Hi, I Work Here

We haven’t received the login details yet. Would you mind sending them to [email protected] along with a reference to this thread? We’ll take a look at the issues from there.

Hey greg, I sent another email, rather replied to the chain I was communicating with. The front page is fixed, now the rest of the pages say “Category Archives” on the top tab in the browser, and the pages are not categories, instead of edit page, I get edit category. This is also happening on my other site, with a completely different theme, and setup. I sent all the details in the msg. Thanks :(
