Unable to understand Blog post Featured Imaged size and resize

I’m using vantage premium for quite a while, and actually there is always been a problem about how Vantage auto resize featured images for blog posts.

Since I can’t find any theme informations of the recommended image size… I’m basically following the layout width.

On full layout width the maximum is 770px width. Then I try to stick on this size 770x370px for my theme images. Unfortunately Vantage keep resizing the image and i lose all the quality editing I made with photoshop. Besides I can’t add textual content without risk it gets cut because of the image resize, which i’m unable to understand how it works.

If I do use a smaller size, once again the keep resizing it in different ways.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Andrea

Basically what’s happening here is that Vantage has specified a size for the images, but WordPress is only uses that size for newly uploaded images. So the new way images are being displayed is actually the correct way.

This is easy to change though. You can use the Simple Image Size plugin to change the default post thumbnail size.

You’ll also need to regenerate thumbnails after you’ve changed this. Hope this puts you on the right track.

    Let me know the outcome
