Hi, as the thread title says. I have clicked on the Business Plan link for $49, followed the instructions, selected PayPal as my payment method (I need to use PayPal for this because we have an account balance in PayPal expressly for these purchases), and right after logging in, I get an error message from PayPal that there was an error and I should return to the previous site and redo everything. I have done this several times now, each time with the same error. Can I get you to send me a PayPal invoice for the amount instead?

Ciao, Neil

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Neil,

That’s odd. To clarify, do you have an old authenticator associated with the account? I use to have one attached but every time I went to pay for something it would always time out (not a proper time out, PayPal stated it).

Does this issue occur when you try checking out on another computer?

    Hi Alex,

I am not quite sure what you mean by authenticator in this context. I clicked on your link, selected the PayPal payment option and clicked on Purchase. I then landed on your PayPal form where I was asked to log in to complete the transaction and upon successfully logging in, I got an error message from PayPal. I regularly make successful payments using the same PayPal account for other things.

    The error message was:

Sorry, an error occurred after you clicked the last link

If you were in the process of buying something, or sending money to family or friends, we recommend you check both your PayPal account and your email inbox for a transaction confirmation after 30 minutes.

If you came to this page from another website, you may want to return to that site (we advise that you don’t just use your browser’s back button) and restart your activity.

If you stumbled upon this page from the PayPal website, simply click the PayPal logo in the top left corner to return to the UK home page and restart your activity. You might have to log in again.

If you wish to sign up to PayPal, please click the PayPal logo and then click the “Sign up” button.

I took screenshots of the two relevant forms, the login form and the error message, if you wish to have them.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Neil,

By authenticator, I meant two-factor authentication for PayPal. Regardless, this likely isn’t the case as this so I would disregard my question regarding it.

I’m forward this thread to Andrew who will be able to assist further.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Neil

Sorry to hear about the hassle. When I search this issue on the PayPal forums the following advice has been sent by forum moderators:

    1. They mention a few times that it can be a temporary issue.
    2. Some moderators recommend clearing your browser cache, that’s perhaps something you can try.

If the issue persists and clearing cache doesn’t help solve it, the advice seems to be to give PayPal a call so they can directly inspect the error and advise further.

Can you perhaps give the above a try and let us know? Thanks.
