Hello,
I was wondering if it was possible to create a Tiled Image gallery with the following
attributes:
• All images are square (number of columns can be specified / customised)
• On Hover a transparent black overlay fades in with a magnifying glass icon.
I found this thread: https://siteorigin.com/thread/how-to-use-gallery-widget-in-page-builder/
and installed the Black studio TinyMCE widget and activated Jetpacks carousel and tiled galleries
and all works well with the exception of the hover mentioned above.
I realise this has nothing to do with Siteorigin, but found the thread and thought someone
might be able to offer some advice on where to look.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

If you haven’t made any progress with this question, I’d recommend using regular WordPress galleries in conjunction with:
https://jetpack.com/support/tiled-galleries/
and
https://jetpack.com/support/carousel/
The only thing missing is the icon on hover effect. It’s the only solution I’ve worked with in the past that’s close.

Thank you for the timely response, your support centre is the best I’ve experienced.
Funnily enough I have managed to piece a gallery together using the elements you
suggest. However, as you say, I will have to keep working on the hover property.
