Theme upgrade

I want to upgrade but don’t want it to mess up anything on my current site, if I do upgrade how will it effect my current site? Note the only reason I need to upgrade is to have more control over the footer area.

Please help!

    Hi

    If you have made any changes to Vantage via Appearance > Editor then those changes will be lost as they would even by doing a routine update within the free version. If however you haven’t made any code changes then no work or settings will be lost.
