Hi,
I have a number of sites with different themes; now I’d like to use Influence, but can’t seem to figure out how to do anything with it. It doesn’t seem intuitive. And I’m trying to build a silo.
1) I don’t have a logo yet, just a site title on the left, with the word ‘Menu’ at the far right end of it. What is its use and how do I get rid of it?
2) I made a new home page titled ‘Home’, to be static, deleted the old one, and the Front page is Home. There is no content yet, but the title ‘Home’ is in the center of the page. How do I move it to where it belongs on the left?
3) I added an ‘About’ page which only shows up under ‘Menu’ on the right.
4) My menu name called itself Menu 1. My menu structure includes both pages. My menu settings have both boxes checked.
Why don’t I have a menu on the title bar, with Home and About on it?
5) How do I put my domain name, copyright, and year at the bottom of the site?
Hi cmoore
Thanks for your support.
Please find the documentation for Influence here: https://siteorigin.com/influence-documentation/.
1. The Menu word and button is the toggle to open the theme’s menu. You can see this in action here: http://demo.siteorigin.com/influence/. This theme’s menu is a right drawer style.
2. Influence does use centered titles. If you want to change that to left aligned titles you’d need to use something like the following in a Custom CSS plugin like Simple Custom CSS:
3. Not quite sure the question here. If you’d like to display pages elsewhere the theme has the following widget areas at Appearance > Widgets: Sidebar, Menu Sidebar and Footer.
4. Influence only offers the right hand drawer side menu you can see here: http://demo.siteorigin.com/influence/
5. Influence doesn’t yet have a copyright field like Vantage or some of our other themes have. This could be added in the future. For now you could use one of the widget areas under Appearance > Widgets to display that info.
Hope that helps.
