Template Issue with Google Maps Widget – tags are added to the page

I am getting an error where something is adding
tags to the template, which makes the Google Maps widget non-functional.

Instead of looking like a map, you get chunks of HTML code like this:

class=”sow-google-map-canvas”
style=”height:320px;”
id=”map-canvas-58f744f06fa36f1f05d28bb96997a675″
data-address=”2603 Camino Ramon, Suite 200
San Ramon, CA 94583, USA” data-zoom=”12″ data-scroll-zoom=”1″ data-draggable=”1″ data-marker-at-center=”1″ data-marker-positions=”false” >

Please note this is on a test server, and I’m most likely going to update this with the fixed code by the end of this week for my client.

To fix this, I went into

/wp-content/plugins/so-widgets-bundle/widgets/so-google-map-widget/tpl/js-map.php
and made all the code on one line:

  ></div>

Not sure what (or who?) is adding those pesky
tags, but at least there’s a quick fix. :)

    I just noticed the br tags are actually showing up as line breaks in my post (which I can’t edit). Also, when I use anything in tags in my code block (on this site), this site’s forum is actually turning them into divs and brs. Not very helpful! To reiterate the problem, there are br tags that are getting put into my post. The fix is to move all the content in the aforementioned file (I tried to include site_root in angular brackets but it got converted to HTML in my post :D) onto one line.

    As a side note, you may want to look into adjusting this forum’s rendering of code tags so if we need to post examples of code that include HTML it is not rendered in the final display of the post. Also, I’d really like the ability to edit an existing post so I can at the very least work around this forum’s limitation.
