Hi folks,
The “nested PB layouts” feature of PB is very powerful. Using a “PB Layout” widget inside a PB layout allows me to build complex, smart layouts.
At times I want to include such a completed, pre-built layout in more than one location on the site. So, there’s the powerful option of export/import – I can export that construct into a file and then import it elsewhere. This actually works beautifully.
The nit here is, that if I later need to change this “compound element”, and I still need all instances of it to be identical, I need to either (a) find and edit all instances or (b) edit one of them, export it and then re-import it unto all other instances (forgetting none).
A cool feature could be to have each “PB Layout” (page or widget in a page) saved with its own ID, and then to be able to reference it rather than copy it, in other places (by a widget, or perhaps even a shortcode). This way, I will need to edit only one and it will be immediately be reflected in all others. If I have a sizable number of copies of that PB layout, that could be a major boon.
Just a suggestion… Thanks for a great, great tool!

Hi Doron,
I’ve marked this thread as a feature request. We often look through these threads to get ideas for what to add in our future updates. Hopefully, we’ll be able to add this in a future update.
Great. Thanks, Alex!
