Stripping HTML from title on Edit text widget

11 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 11 years ago

Hello, I’m trying to link titles in the “Edit Text” widget on the Page Builder plugin. However any HTML code I add is automatically stripped. This also happens if I add any HTML to the text section. How do I prevent the HTML being stripped? If this is not possible, how do I link the titles?

Thanks.

    Hi Talia

    Thanks for running Page Builder.

Just on the outside chance – to confirm it’s not possible to edit Page Builder content in the Visual or Text editor tabs.

The Text widget shouldn’t be stripping any HTML. You might try the Visual Editor widget as an alternative. It has an HTML tab that you can work in. To get access to this widget first install: http://wordpress.org/plugins/black-studio-tinymce-widget/

    Hi Andrew,

I am not editing the page builder content in visual or text editor tabs.

I do have that plugin installed.

Is there anything else I can try?

    Thank you

Sorry, I might have missed the crux of your question here. Widget titles don’t render HTML, this is common of all widget title fields. My recommendation would be to leave the title blank and insert it in the widget body where you’ll have more control over it.
