sticky/responsive menu disappearing

I am currently using the vantage premium theme and when I shrink my browser width down to tablet/mobile size the menu disappears and is only visible when I hover over the links. It does appear when I scroll down the page and the sticky menu appears.

I have disabled all of my plugins and there is still a problem so it is not a problem with any of my plugins.

Thanks for any replies

    Hi Andrew

    Thanks for the reply.

The site is currently being hosted locally using MAMP so I can’t give you a web address or an admin login. Would screenshots be okay even though these probably are not ideal.

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for the info. Please try running through a few troubleshooting steps:

    1. Dashboard > Updates: run any pending updates.
    2. Temporarily de-activate all non-SiteOrigin plugins. If there is a change then re-activate your plugins one at a time while checking the issue.
    3. Running a child theme? Revert to the parent.
    4. Using Custom CSS? Remove it temporarily and re-test.

I have tried the above suggestions and still have a problem. Any other suggestions.

Please post a link to screenshots and I’ll try see if I can see anything.

    Hi Andrew

The first screenshot shows what the site is like at full screen and this is okay:

    http://tinypic.com/r/otet1z/8

this is what the site looks like when I resize the browser to roughly tablet size where it only shows when I highlight it: http://tinypic.com/r/243opba/8

I have realised that this is because I have white text on a white background. If i change my page background to black for example then the menu shows up when i resize it. The below screenshots show what the site now looks like in all three device types:

    http://tinypic.com/r/2mezqxg/8
    http://tinypic.com/r/2ir0qj4/8
    http://tinypic.com/r/sbn8ko/8

Ideally I want the menu to look like it does in the first screenshot. I did previously have the menu below the logo but after possibly changing some settings it is now it is above the logo, I am not sure if this is part of the problem.

Under theme settings > Layout I currently have responsive layout ticked and the width as full screen. Under theme settings > navigation I have responsive menu and sticky menu ticked.

I am only able to edit the website in the next hour and then won’t be able to edit it until Monday morning so would appreciate a response in the next hour if this is possible.

    Hi, I Work Here

Sorry Matt, I’ve never seen this before so it’s really hard to guess what might be the problem without inspecting the source.

Any chance of throwing a copy online?

https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/ would be the fastest method that I know of. Do you have a server you can do this on?

I will see if I can get it online sometime on Monday.
