WP 4.4.1 multisite
Vantage premium
pagebuilder 2.2.2
I’m experiencing a sticky menu issue some pages, in several browsers, but only when not logged in.
For instance at my guestbook page http://villabussola.eu/gastenboek-villa-bussola/ You can create a testaccount here and see that when logged in the problem is gone. Must have something to do with the form i guess….
The guestbook plugin is Gwolle Gastenboek

    Hi Peter

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

    Hi,
    Thanks for your reply.
I will do that tomorrow, but i’m almost sure it’s the newsletter plugin because that’s the only page/plugin/form (guestbook page) where the issue occurs.
I’ll let you if it was another plugin…

Sorry, i mean the geustbook plugin obviously….

Thanks, let us know how it goes.

Have you found a conflicting plugin?

  5. 9 years, 6 months ago Peter van Diessen

Yes i’ve found the plugin that’s causing the issue, it’s Yoast 3.0.7

WordPress SEO alone shouldn’t be doing this. Try testing with only WordPress SEO activated. We can run Vantage, SiteOrigin plugins and WordPress SEO without problems.

No, it’s the combination Yoast and Gwolle guestbook that makes the sticky menu drop down, with everything else deactivated except the guestbook there is no problem with the menu, when i then activate Yoast, and log out the menu drops

Thanks for your feedback. We guessed it was a three-way conflict like this. We, unfortunately, don’t have a hotfix for this. The combination of the two plugins are impacting the Vantage JavaScript. You could perhaps try All In One SEO instead.

I came to the same conclusion. After a lot of research i found out that after the last update Yoast has conflicts with many more plugins…. that’s a pity because it’s definitely the SEOplugin with the best assets…. thank’s…

A pity for sure. Sorry for the hassle. Hopefully you’re able to make progress one way or another.
