SSL Error on installation attempt
I’m having an issue installing the Vantage theme.
Here’s the error I get:
Installing Theme: Vantage 1.2.3 Downloading install package from http://wordpress.org/themes/download/vantage.1.2.3.zip… Download failed. SSL certificate problem, verify that the CA cert is OK. Details: error:14090086:SSL routines:SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE:certificate verify failed
So far I’ve only seen this with this theme.
I found this comment:
“I would still like to see the developer properly include a cacerts.pem with the plug-in.”
In a thread discussing a similar problem someone else is experiencing as described here:

Is this something that could be solved on your side?

3Hi crb
You could try a manual installation. You can download the theme from https://wordpress.org/themes/vantage and install from Appearance > Themes > Add New: Upload Theme.
Manual install worked… thanks for the quick workaround!
I will followup with our hosting service to fix it server side for future themes/plugins that demonstrate this error.

Glad that did the trick for now.
This is the first time I’ve seen this come up. As a result I don’t think there will be any changes to theme setup from our side. Hopefully wordpress.org can be marked as a safe source or something to that effect, by the hosts.
All the best.
