Space between two widgets in one row

Hi there,

I am building a website, testing site is here http://tcwebdesign/anne ( beware, this is work in progres)
and I need two text widgets close together, they should touch each other.
The website is Dutch – might be hard to read…. The two text widgets are located on the right of the page, one larger blue background with white text and just below this widget there is a smaller widget with a grey background and white letters.
Just above the two pictures of the fingers.

I need the blue and grey widget located without whitespace between them. Can you help me there please ?

Second question ( or do I need to open another thread): I notice that all though I defined my website to be 1000 pixels wide, and I made the banners and pictures also 1000 pixels wide thy do not have an equal width. Is it my theme that causes this or is it a Site Origin feature ?
