We are new to WordPress and this is our first website in WordPress.
the space between my menu and sub menu is too large.
So is there any way to fix this ?

Sorry for the late reply here. Unfortunately this is a design limitation with the “logo in menu” layout. The only way to get the header smaller, and the space between the menu and sub menu smaller too, is to use the standard layout and have your logo outside the menu.
With the logo in menu layout, everything is resized to accommodate the logo.
