Social Media Buttons widget w/ Astra — mobile center alignment not working

By MFeerer, 6 years ago. Last reply by Andrew Misplon, 6 years ago.

Hi. Is anyone else having this problem. When the widget is used in Astra Pro and viewed on tablet or phone, the Title text does not justify the same as the social media buttons… the title is always left-justified. On a desktop view it is fine. Any solutions? Thanks.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi M

Thanks for posting. If you’re using a premium theme it might be quicker to reach out theme support as you’ve paid for their assistance with matters like this.

If you want to disable theme widget styling in Page Builder widgets, go to SettingsPage BuilderWidgets and disable Add Widget Class, that’ll remove theme widget styling of Page Builder widgets and might help.

Thanks Andrew for your suggestion. I use Elementor (free) with Astra Pro… I don’t see Settings > Page Builder > Widgets anywhere. So I haven’t been able to try your idea. Removing styling from all widgets doesn’t seem like the right approach though. I will submit a tech support request to the Astra folks.

    Hi, I Work Here

Super, it’ll be best if theme support took a look for you. Hopefully they can assist. If not, let us know and we’ll see if we can help. We’d need a URL to look at in that event.

(The widget setting I mentioned is for Page Builder not Elementor. For reference, it wouldn’t remove all styling, rather it would remove theme level styling, leaving the Widgets Bundle styling in place. Many themes style widgets assuming they’ll only be used in the sidebar and footer which is when this can help.)

    Andrew,

I’m sorry to say there’s been no response so far from BrainstormForce, which is discouraging. They could learn from your rapid responsiveness. Do you have any similar reports of the same alignment problem from others? I’m working around it for now by turning off the widget’s title in my footer, so there is nothing I can currently point you to see at https://michaelfeerer.com except for the centered social media icons. But I’d prefer to have a title above them aligned just like the social media buttons are (centered). Thanks.

    Hi, I Work Here

Sorry to hear that. No open issues like this at the moment. If you put the title back and let me know I’ll try to assist.

Thanks Andrew. I cleared Chrome’s browser cache and now it seems fine. I was confused because other visual updates of my pages were appearing fine in Chrome with a simple page re-load. Thanks again for your prompt responses. I will recommend your widgets to others, for sure!

    Hi Andrew,

I'm now applying your SiteOrigin Contact Form widget… everything is good about it and you can see it at the very bottom of https://michaelfeerer.com
(there are some other form plugins on the page I am trying too above it…
ignore those). But there's one problem: The test emails I receive from the form, when I hit reply in my gmail to reply to them, they are addressed to
ME instead of the form submitter. Is there any way to fix this? Seems like contact forms should be this way be default. ?

    Hi, I Work Here

Would it be possible for you to send me an export for this widget? To do this please open up the linked page in the editor and click the Layout button in the Page Builder toolbar. Then click import/export and then click download. Please upload the export to a 3rd party file hosting site such as teknik.io.
