Slider (default Vantage, as well as MetaSlider) not showing

I’m relatively new with wordpress and trying to build a site for a family members’ company (www.zelfregieinsamenspraak.nl). I’ve tried out several themes until i decided to stick with Vantage. Halfway through my “theme-hopping” i found out that some of the sliders were no longer showing. The last theme i used did have a slider that worked though (yet was a bad theme). Anyway, now i’m using Vantage (and MetaSlider) but i can’t get either the default Vantage slider or the Metaslider to work. The default didn’t even work from the start. I’ve tried disabling all my other plugins but to no effect. The only way i can get the slider to work is by adding the widget to the header in Appearance>Customize but, sadly, this completely messes up the layout. What might be causing the (frustrating) absence of the (default) sliders and how could is solve this? To be clear: I’ve tried following the slider-install guide on SiteOrigin to the letter.

    Hi Lucse

    If Vantage and MetaSlider are up to date and you de-activated all of your plugins (besides MetaSlider) at once then it’s hard to say what might be wrong.

    Did you de-activate all plugins at once?
    Are you running a child theme? If so revert to the parent.
    Are you running any Custom CSS? Try without.
    Have you tried re-installing Vantage? Move to another theme, delete Vantage and then re-install.

    If all of the above fails send through a link and I’ll take a look.

    Thanks for the quick response and the tips!

    I’ll try to disable/deinstall all themes and plugins tomorrow and see if that works. I might even do a new wordpress install if necessary. I’ll report back with my findings! Thank you for your time.

    So today i tried everything i could think of – disabling and enabling plugins, removing and reinstalling them, removing and reinstalling themes, trying different themes etc. However, nothing seemed to work. I ended up just doing a reinstall of wordpress and now everything is working properly again.

    Same thing. No other plugins installed but default slider as well as Meta Slider refuse to work. Nothing is showing

    daruber try deleting and re-installing the theme. If that doesn’t work please open a new support thread and I’ll assist there.

    I have the same issue and I’ve also uninstalled and reinstalled Vantage but the page is not showing the default or MetaSlider. The only clue I have is that it’s keeping an old slider in the place.

    Could you please help?
