SiteOrigin Slider

By Ron King, 9 years ago. Last reply by Andrew Misplon, 9 years ago.

I am using your Theme for the first time and really like like. A problem I’ve have it that any image I put in the Slider also shows as a large image below the Slider. I’ve spent several hours trying to fix it and am having no luck. I’m about ready to give up and use another Theme, but I really hope I can solve this. I need to get this site finished fairly soon, so I can’t spend a lot more time on this issue.

Thanks for any help, Ron King

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ron

Sorry to hear you’ve run into this challenge.

Please can you check that there isn’t a double up of slider application. Are you adding a slider from Appearance > Theme Settings > Home as well as from Pages > Home? If you navigate to Pages > Home you’ll find an Influence Page Slider settings box in the right column. One of the options there is to Use First Page Builder Row. Please check for me that you aren’t adding a slider from Theme Settings and the Home page and also check that Use First Page Builder Row setting isn’t checked.

Andrew, thank you so much for your help.

I find I was adding it from both places. I removed the Use First Page Builder Row, and set the setting from Appearance> Theme Settingings > Home to None. Now the that bottom part is finally removed and the top part, the Slider, is no longer full page but rather sits within a frame. That’s seems to be my choice and I guess I can live with it that way.

    Thanks again for your help.

    Hi, I Work Here

Glad that helped. To make your slider available for full-width you’d need to select it using either the right column selection shortcode field or the Theme Settings selection method. Right now it looks like your slider is inserted via Page Builder, that’s why it’s in the page body.

My (full size) slider works fine for the home page but becomes a small slider within a frame if I try (a different slider with other pictures) on another page. Am I correct in assuming the full size only works on the home page?

      Hi, I Work Here

      Hi Dave

Are you setting your slider on other pages by inserting it into the first row of Page Builder and then selecting the right column slider option that lets you pull your slider from the first row of Page Builder?
