Hello,
I have a question. I have website and wrote the code, but I would like to transform everything under the wordpress web engine. I thought the siteorigin pagebuilder is a good solution. But I have some “problem”.
1. When I make a new row, where can I see the exact width of the row. I see haw many percent each column, but it is possible to see or set up how wide a row?
2. I cannot change the gap size between the columns and between the rows. I think is not too difficult but I did not find a good solution, how can I set up the gaps size?
3. I can see the columns size in percentage, but can I see these values in pixel? If yes how can I do?
4. If I set up a layout, can I save like a page template?
I am sorry If I have some silly question, but I am not a very experienced programmer.
Below you can see the website what I would like to transform under the wordpress webengine.
I am looking forward your answer.
Thank you
Arpad Hosszu
Hi Arpad
Thanks for your support.
1. Only column width is displayed below each column. Rows will fill 100% width of the container they operate in.
2. Settings > SiteOrigin Page Builder, there you can change margins.
3. Columns are outputted in percentages. If you just need to know how wide that is in px open up your browsers developer tool and inspect the row or column in question. It’ll give you the width.
4. Once one layout has been created it’ll be accessible under another page as Pre-Built Layout, you can find this button as a paintbrush icon top left in Page Builder. It will load up that entire page though, including widgets. It’s good for starting pages off though.
Hope that helps.
Page Builder 2.0 is launching soon. It’ll offer many improvements: https://siteorigin.com/blog/
Hi Andrew,
Thank you for your answer :)
1. Ok, so I can set up the height if I set up the height of the inside container. Ok. Thank you.
2. I found two settings Row bottom margin and cell side margin. Sometimes it has effect on the page sometimes no. I am going to make some test page and I will show you when the result is not good. I have not find a perfect solution, but I will work on it.
3. It is clear ok, thank you.
4. Perfect, thank you.
I hope till end of this weekend I will finish the test pages.
And I forget to say 1,5 half year ago I was dreaming about a similar website builder. But my concept is a bit different, but I think I can fit your plugin my imagination.
I red about the Premium license, please send me how working this license. I red everything under the menu of About, but I did not find a subscription or a buy now button.
Thank you very much
Arpad
1. There aren’t any row or column height settings in Page Builder. Heights are determined by the content contained within.
2. For sure. Send through a test page link and I’ll help from there. OR if there is just one place in your site where you need to adjust spacing just send that through with an explanation.
3. Cool.
Page Builder 2.0 is currently in beta testing. You can read about it here: https://siteorigin.com/blog/. Lots of improvements on the way.
Page Builder is free but you can upgrade Vantage from Appearance > Vantage Premium, there should be a buy link in the right column of that page.
To clarify my last point. Only our themes currently have premium upgrade options: Theme: Free, multi-purpose, responsive WordPress theme from SiteOrigin for example.
Dear Andrew,
Today I had time for the test, and everything is clear. You made almost what I dreamt one and half year ago. I am very glad. Just what I miss I cannot divide the columns. But it is not too important, I can manage everything what I would like to design. Thank you again.
And about the premium uprage, I understand, in this case I am going to buy the Premium Vantage Theme Support. because the Siteorigin is unbelievable useful for me :) Good.
Thank you

Hi Arpadosso. That’s awesome, really glad to hear things are coming together there. Yes, I agree, columns needs to be a feature we can offer in Page Builder. Please keep an eye on the Widgets Bundle and there is a chance we might launch a widget for this in there early next year: http://wordpress.org/plugins/so-widgets-bundle/. We should hopefully have our own Google Maps widget launching there next week.
All the best!
Hey Andrew, thank for your support, I hope today I will have a few hours to work on my website. I downloaded the plugins and I will try to find time for the try. Thanks
For sure. Hope you were able to make progress here.
