Hi
I’m using the SiteOrigin Hero Widget and it seems to default to adding a shadow to my text which I don’t want. I tried changing my CSS style to remove the shadow on the text but it’s being over-written when the page compiles. Any suggestions? It doesn’t look right on my site to have a shadow.
thank you
Hi Mitzi
There’s an update coming to Widgets Bundle in the next 24 hours or so that’ll allow you to remove this text shadow in the widget settings. It was a common request :)
Please keep an eye out for the update.
Great news because we are hoping to go live this weekend. Will I need to update the plugin when it’s released?
Thanks for your help
Hi Mitzi
The guys are working on it right now. I’ll try get an estimate for you in a little bit.
Unfortunately, we can’t give an exact ETA right now. We ran into a challenge or two. Work is being carried out right now. We hope to launch very soon, within the next few days.
Thanks for the update. I will keep an eye out for it. Where will it be posted when it’s released? On your WP download page?
Looking forward to it!
Mitzi
I'm happy to say that this went live about an hour ago. You should see an update to 1.4.3 available in the updates section of your WordPress dashboard.
Awesome :)
Great news! now how do I remove the shadow on the text inside the hero image? i updated but don’t see it very clearly where to remove that pesky text shadow.
thanks for all the help – we love the tool!
For sure :)
Let’s give the following at try:
Insert into a Custom CSS plugin or child theme style.css file. If you don’t yet have a Custom CSS plugin then, please, try ours:

Hi Mitzi
The setting us under the Design and Layout section of the widget form. It’s right at the bottom. Drag the setting “Heading shadow intensity” to change the shadow intensity. If you drag the setting all the way to 0, then there won’t be a shadow anymore :)
My bad! Bit rushed this morning. Thanks G :)
Awesome! The slider is great – -thank you so much
For sure :) All the best.
