Not sure if this is the right place but my site origin editor doesn’t appear to be working. I’ve set my website up using a tutorial by James Stafford about the new Sydney theme. I was able to follow along with everything he was doing but for some reason when I open the SiteOrigin Editor I do not have all the editing buttons across the top. I’ve deactivated and reactivated it several times with no luck.
I cannot finish adding content to my site without it. Plus I’ve looked at several other tutorials on WordPress and they all show buttons on the right that say Visual Text Page Builder. I don’t have those?
Please help, I’m at a loss.
Thanks!
Hi Writewizard,
Please navigate to WP AdminUsersYour Profile and ensure Visual Editor is unticked.
If it’s ticked, please untick it and try using the editor.
If it’s not ticked or unticking it didn’t help, can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.
If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
Marvelous I’m going to give this a try
It looks like maybe there are settings that are sending me to a pagebuilder by default?
When I click add new post, the post opens and I have a button on the right that says “Revert to Editor” If I click that on a blank post, it will give me back my editing buttons and the 3 tabs on the right.
Is there a pagebuilder default setting somewhere?
Hi Writewizard,
Please navigate to WP AdminSettingsPage Builder and open the General tab. untick Default To Page Builder Interface and then save.
Let me know how you go mate.
This worked tremendously well! All is working again. Thanks!
It worked great. Thanks!
