SiteOrigin Editor not centering images anymore

By tracyneproski, 6 years ago. Last reply by tracyneproski, 6 years ago.

Hey there!

I have been using the SiteOrigin Editor workaround to get images centered, but today it quit working. When I go to the Editor widget itself, the image centers just fine, but when I load the full page, the images align left. When I add text to the Editor widget as well as the image, all of it aligns in the center properly in the full page. I was able to delete the text, but keep the and it made it center, but the <img class="aligncenter wp-image-771" wasn't working. I can go through the whole site and manually add the style to align center, but… I’d like to not have to do that if it’s just a bug. :)

Thanks!

Ooops.. I should have put the code in there differently. It should read:

“I was able to delete the text, but keep the

    and it made it center,"

    Well, good grief. It’s a paragraph with a text-align=center style. Clearly, I am not good a forum-ing.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Tracy,

Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?

I have been using the SiteOrigin Editor workaround to get images centered

Out of interest, can you please clarify what this was a workaround for? I ask as I recommend using the SiteOrigin Image widget to add images and that widget has an Image Alignment setting.

Hrm, well I hadn’t been using the image widget because the image always stretched to cover the entire widget even though the option wasn’t selected. It appears that unchecking the “bound” option makes it behave properly. I’ll go through and use the image widget instead where I was using the Editor. So… thanks!! Haha :)

As for the “workaround” I think there was a time at some point where the image widget didn’t have alignment options so the workaround was to use the editor instead. That was all I meant by that.
